After all of the whop-la over the royal wedding, we can breathe again. Bride, Kate Middleton wore a Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen dress for her nuptials. While she looked beautiful and the dress fit impeccably, I think we can all agree that we were underwhelmed (especially with a dress by the late, great Alexander McQueen). I was hoping for a few more bells and whistles, at least a pop of color.
I understand the conservativeness of the Royals, but this is a new day and age. A more detailed dress, a colorful bouquet or even a bright shoe goes a long way. The guests had no problem pulling out all stops for the special occasion. However, would such attention-getting outfits be considered 'out-doing the bride' on her day?
All of the wonderful colors, the intricate hats and all around fashion they were giving was great. But Victoria Beckham stole the show, sleighing them all--pregnant and in six inch heels.
How's that for upstaging the bride?
Agreed. The dress was a snore. Not Alexander McQueenesque by any means. I think he would slap this designer.
